What is Aniplex Plus?

Aniplex Plus, also known as Aniplex+, is the official Japanese online website for the Aniplex company. Established in 1995, the Aniplex production company has been the planner, producer, and distributor of many popular anime series, such as Darling in the FranXX and Banana Fish. They also distribute the music and soundtrack to all of Sony Computer Entertainment’s video games. For all these reasons, we consider this website one of the best anime online stores in Japan.

Why buy on the Japanese online store of Aniplex?

The Aniplex Plus Japanese store sells anime DVD/Blu-ray releases for series that are exclusive only to the website and includes extra goodies that come as a free gift and cannot be purchased elsewhere. Sometimes they even sell merchandise that were exclusive to certain events. Besides their large digital media selection, the Japanese Aniplex Plus online store also sells stationery, food, exclusive figures, and much more. While the US branch also has its own website called Aniplex+, their selection is extremely limited compared to the Japanese store. The prices are also usually cheaper on the Japanese website because you are buying from Aniplex directly.

Does the Aniplex store ship abroad?

Aniplex does not ship abroad. However, you can buy from them using a proxy-buying service, such as Japan Rabbit, or if you are proficient in Japanese, a package forwarding service like

How to order from Aniplex Plus?

Ordering from Aniplex Plus doesn’t have to be hard and our team at Japan Rabbit is here to make it as easy as possible for you!

Step 1: Go to the Aniplex Plus website

The Aniplex Plus website is found here: It's a simple layout and easy to navigate. If you’re unsure of how to use the website, continue reading below for a breakdown of the website! When clicked on, they will either bring you to the page of the specific product advertised, or to the merchandise line so you can see all the options available.

Step 2: Search for products or licenses you like

At the top of the page under the Aniplex+ logo, are three options:

  • If you just want to browse through the titles of the series, click on the left one, “作品から探す”, for the Title List.
  • The middle one, “カテゴリから探す”, brings you to a page that allows you to search by item categories like CDS, Figures, Books, Fashion, etc. If you are unable to read Japanese, we recommend using Google Chrome to browse this website and the translate extension to translate the text on the page.
  • The third and right option “商品検索” will simply transform into the search bar if you hover over it.

Below these three options are pictures of popular series that Aniplex+ is selling merchandise for. You can scroll through them to see if anything catches your eye. Under this are larger pictures that link to new product lines that are currently open for order. If you keep scrolling, there will be 4 categories under this and they are:

  • Closing Soon - meaning that the preorder or order period for these items is ending soon
  • Update Items - more information is now available for these items. It can range from anything to news of a colored prototype of a figure or an item that is now open for ordering.
  • More Items - just as it reads, it is showing more items.
  • Hot News - this shows the latest news from Aniplex’s Twitter and Facebook pages.

Step 3: Tell Japan Rabbit what to buy

Once you have found what you want to buy, just tell us to let us know! You can do so by going to the Japan Rabbit app. Once there, you will be asked for the URL of the product page. To get the URL, highlight the link in that page’s address bar and either right-click with your mouse and select copy or press Ctrl+C on your keyboard. Paste it into the field on our app that asks for “Product web page” and click “Next”. You will be taken to a page where you can tell us a little more about the product. To locate the name of the product, Aniplex’s website will almost always list the product name in big, bold font to the right of the product photo on the top of the page. Copy this and paste it into the box in the Japan Rabbit app that is labeled “product name”. If there are several options or different versions that are all listed on the same page, let us know which one it is you want by filling out the field for “size, color, description”. Once filled out, just let us know the price and quantity! The price of the item is in red numbers and has the yen symbol next to it. When you find it, just paste it into the corresponding field on our app. If all the fields are filled out, add the item to your cart and you can either continue shopping and repeat these steps or if you’re ready to order, just hit checkout and let us do the rest!

Step 4: Save on shipping with consolidation and repacking

Once your package arrives, we will notify you. We offer free consolidation and repacking, so if you have more than one item in your mailbox, consolidating your parcels into one package is a great way to save on shipping. Once your package is ready to ship, we provide a list of different shipping methods so you can choose the one that works best for you!
